The National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) is seeking qualified individual consultants to join the Pakistan Hydromet and Climate Services Project (PHCSP). This is a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to a critical initiative that aims to strengthen Pakistan’s resilience to climate change and natural disasters.  

About the Project

The PHCSP is a vital project funded by the World Bank that focuses on enhancing the delivery of reliable and timely climate and hydro-meteorological services in Pakistan. This includes improving weather forecasting, flood and drought monitoring, and early warning systems. Additionally, the project seeks to strengthen community resilience to climate shocks, such as floods, droughts, heatwaves, and other natural disasters.  

The Roles We Need to Fill

The NDRMF is recruiting for five key positions to support the PHCSP:

DescriptionLead the development of a climate finance strategy for the PHCSP.

Job TitleSr. Climate Finance Consultant (National)
DescriptionProvide technical expertise on climate finance and support the development of the project’s financial strategy.
QualificationsAdvanced degree in economics, finance, climate change, or a related field. Minimum 6-8 years of experience.
Job TitleSr. Carbon Consultant (National)
DescriptionAnalyze the project’s carbon footprint and develop strategies for carbon neutrality.
QualificationsAdvanced degree in economics, environmental studies, or a related field. Minimum 6-8 years of experience.
Job TitleClimate Finance Consultants (National) (2 Positions)
DescriptionAssist the Sr. Climate Finance Consultants in developing and implementing the project’s financial strategy.
QualificationsAdvanced degree in economics, finance, climate change, or a related field. Minimum 4-6 years of experience.
Job TitleCommunication Consultant (National)
DescriptionDevelop and implement a communication strategy to raise awareness about the PHCSP and its objectives.
QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience.
