The Finance Department of the Government of Balochistan is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of Expert/Head of Unit (Provincial Revenues and Fiscal Policy) on a contract basis. The Opportunity
The Expert/Head of Unit (Provincial Revenues and Fiscal Policy) will lead a newly established unit focused on provincial revenue and fiscal policy management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve revenue collection, analyze tax and non-tax revenue policies, and contribute to long-term fiscal planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies to improve provincial revenue collection.
- Analyze tax and non-tax revenue legislation, policies, and long-term and short-term strategies.
- Conduct research and prepare reports on provincial revenue trends and fiscal issues.
- Provide advice to the Finance Department on fiscal policy matters.
- Represent the Finance Department in meetings with stakeholders on revenue and fiscal policy issues.
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional qualification from a recognized body of professional accountancy (CA, ACCA, ACAEW, CPA, etc.).
- At least 10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in financial management, revenue management, tax and non-tax revenue legislation, policy development, and long-term and short-term strategy development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Age Limit
- Must not be above 55 years of age.
- Possessing Balochistan Local Certificate or Domicile.
