The Role of Chairman & Dean

The Chairman & Dean will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, leadership, and management of SZPGMI. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing academic programs, curriculum development, and faculty development.
  • Promoting research and innovation to advance medical knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

EducationMBBS or equivalent qualification with a higher postgraduate qualification (Ph.D in Basic Sciences, FCPS, MRCP, FRCS, or American Board in Clinical Sciences) recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).
ExperienceAt least 3 years of experience in hospital administration and management, preferably as head of a medical institution. Minimum 15 publications in peer-reviewed journals, with at least 3 in international journals.
LeadershipProven track record of leadership, management, and target achievement. Ability to build a dedicated team of professionals and provide dynamic leadership.

Tenure and Terms of Appointment

The selected candidate will be appointed on a contract basis for a tenure of three years, extendable for further periods not exceeding three years at a time. The maximum age limit for the appointment is 60 years. The terms and conditions of the appointment will be determined by the Federal Government.
