About IPRI
Established in 1999, IPRI is a leading non-partisan think-tank dedicated to independent research and analysis on all facets of national security, including international relations, strategic studies, governance, public policy, and, of course, economic security. Affiliated with Pakistan’s National Security Division, IPRI’s research directly informs policy decisions at the highest levels.
The Role: Research Associate (Economic Security)
As a Research Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting IPRI’s economic security research program. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting independent and collaborative research on economic security issues
- Contributing to the development and execution of research projects
- Analyzing data using advanced statistical software (Stata, Eviews, R preferred)
- Drafting research reports, policy briefs, and other publications
- Presenting research findings to stakeholders, including government officials and policy makers
- Staying current on economic trends and developments relevant to Pakistan
Who We’re Looking For
- Pakistani national with a Master’s degree (MS) or Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Economics
- Strong analytical and statistical skills
- Proven ability to conduct independent research and write clearly and concisely
- Experience using statistical software like Stata, Eviews, or R is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to research excellence and policy impact
